Parties to the Stockholm Convention are required to prepare a national implementation plan (NIP), which explains how they are going to implement their obligations under the Convention. It is a dynamic document which is to be reviewed periodically to address additional obligations arising due to amendments to the Convention (for example new POPs listed) or progress made in achieving planned objectives.
